Health and Safety enhanced by AI

The first application where ABRE used AI in EPC is a health and safety video monitoring
system to detect and notify about any HSE violation or security breach. The system detects for example if the worker on site is without a certain PPE or being present in high-risk area. This technology can monitor the entire site 24/7, significantly reducing work
incidents due to negligence or complacency, which otherwise could go undetected by the
human HSE personnel.

Project Monitoring & Data Analysis:

Video monitoring systems enhanced with AI can do much more than just detecting a missing helmet. With our advanced AI systems, we are now able to monitor project progress and to measure the operation periods of each equipment on site. This data is then used to analyze and improve productivity and utilization of resources on site and project future performance based on the site’s conditions.

Connected Site:

With a range of sensors distributed around the site, we are now able to monitor critical parameter on site such as temperature and concentration of certain gases in real time. AI then comes as a second layer to analyze the data and identify patterns of these parameters. Combined with the power of video monitoring, the data is used for projections and early warning about progress and incidents.

Digital Twins:

Made popular by the industry 4.0 revolution, creating a digital twin of a facility, e.g. and oil rig or petrochemical factory, allows to have a realistic simulation of the complex industrial systems. This simulation can be utilized in two main ways: to make projections about future performance or incidents based on current measurements, and to run simulations of hypothetical scenarios with the purpose of discovering ways to improve the facility, increase productivity, and avoid any unwanted breakdowns or incidents.
