Project Description

HETL intends to extend the existing Jet Fuel pipeline system with a branch to Al Maktoum International Airport. Project consists of installing a 20” underground pipeline for length of 16.5 Km from the existing intermediate pigging station to AMIA Fuel Farm, installing a Jet Fuel filtering station at AMIA Fuel Farm and tie in to AMIA Fuel Farm fuel supply piping manifold.

The Works shall be carried out at different locations :

Horizon Emirates Terminal (located within Jebel Ali Free Zone)
IPS – Intermediate Pigging Station
AMIA Fuel farm
Pipeline corridors owned by DUSUP, RTA /DM and corridor and plots owned by DWC-Dubai South

Supply and installing a 20” underground pipeline for length of 16.5 Km from the existing intermediate pigging station to AMIA Fuel Farm.
Associated Excavation and Backfilling works ,Dewatering & Shoring Works
Road crossing Works along the pipe line route

Horizon Emirates Terminal (located within Jebel Ali Free Zone)

Supply , Installation and commissioning of one (1) new Jet Fuel Transfer pump, with a capacity of 200m3/h in addition to the existing four pumps;
Supply, Installation and commissioning of one (1) new set of strainer and micron filter with a capacity of 400m3/h in addition to the existing three sets.
Supply, Installation and commissioning of one (1) One (1) new filter water separator with a capacity of 400m3/h in addition to the existing three sets.
Associated necessary piping, civil / structural, electrical and Instrumentation works

IPS – Intermediate Pigging Station

Removal of existing Pig Receiver and relocating to AMIA Fuel Farm
Tie-in connection between Existing DIA Pipeline and 20 inch diameter new pipeline to AMIA Fuel Farm
Supply, installation and commissioning of 12 inch size Ultrasonic flow meter for Leak detection for the new pipeline to AMIA Fuel Farm
Associated necessary piping, civil / Structural, electrical and Instrumentation works

AMIA Fuel farm

Installation of Pig receiver relocated from intermediate pigging station;
Supply, installation and commissioning of Six (6) set of Strainers and Micron Filters with a capacity of 400m3/h each.
Supply, installation and commissioning of Six (6) Filter Water Separators with a capacity of 400m3/h each.
Design and construction of Shelter / Covered shed for Filters
Associated necessary piping, civil / structural, electrical ,Instrumentation and fire protection systems.
