EGA
Project Description
The existing Underground Fuel Gas line (installed 7 years back), is found to be corroded in many locations due to defect in the wrapping, coating, poor protection from the Cathodic Protection system and due to the CTG supply lines being immersed under water table. In order to protect the plant operation from interruption, EGA has decided to route the entire underground Fuel gas Lines to above ground.
Design of Civil, mechanical, E&I & FF works for the Rerouting of the Fuel Gas Pipeline within the Power Plant from the GASCO Skid to the Turbines
Engineering :
Complete design, detail engineering for the re-routing of fuel gas piping system including hydraulic study, stress analysis, vibration simulation for design of pipe supports, flare system study, tie in procedures etc. as per FM Global requirements using third party consultant.
Review and approval of engineering documents, drawings by TPIA.
Obtain design NOC from GASCO.
Mechanical & Product Piping Works :
Re-routing of existing U/G fuel gas line from GASCO skid to FGC units (6 nos.), CTG units (11 to 32) and HRSG duct burners (11 to 32). All tie ins shall be by hot tapping method. – 700m each
- Supply, fabrication, painting, erection, installation and testing of 16” and 20” fuel oil supply and header lines and tie in to Phase II spool as identified in layout 630001-2000-46D3-0001. – – 700m each
- Supply, fabrication, painting, erection, installation and testing of 6” Black start diesel generator line as identified in layout 630001-2000-46D3-0001. – 1800m
- Supply, fabrication, painting, erection, installation and testing of 6” fuel oil lines from headers to fuel management skids as identified in layouts 630001-2000-46D3-0001 and 0002. – 350m
Tie in of new above ground fuel gas header to ATA refinery feed line (Phase – 01) by mechanical tapping.
Tie in of new above ground fuel gas header to ATA refinery feed line (Phase – 02) to existing Tee connection.
Extension of existing fuel gas vents for CTGs 11,31 and 32.
Installation of new Bypass line for Phase I and II FGC units by hot tapping method.
Provide Flare system / cold venting based on studies carried out.
Replacement of Non spec valves by hot tapping method.
NDT, hydro-testing, flushing, drying, degreasing, chemical cleaning, passivation and nitrogen purging of new lines.
Commissioning of new above ground piping, plugging and purging of underground line for abandonment.
Hot tapping Tie-in Summary :
36” – 1 No, 18” – 1 No, 16” – 1 No, 12” – 18 Nos., 6” – 6 Nos.
Civil and Structural Works:
Construction of closed (with open type covers) trench near Gasco skid for routing of 36” line.
Construction of foundations for pipe supports, sleepers, pipe bridge and racks.
Construction of pipe rack where required.
Construction of trench at minor road crossings.
Removal and reinstatement of asphalt.
Electrical & Instrumentation Works:
Supply, installation of instruments (PT, TT, PI etc.) as required. Integration works to existing system shall be done by EGA.
