We are seeking a skilled Piping Engineer with 5 years of experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and oil and gas projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and managing piping systems for various projects, ensuring that all work meets industry standards, client specifications, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Analysis:
- Develop detailed piping designs and specifications, including layouts, material selection, and stress analysis.
- Perform pipe routing, stress analysis, and support design using industry-standard software.
Project Management:
- Oversee the piping design and construction phases, ensuring alignment with project scope, budget, and schedule.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, procurement teams, and construction personnel.
Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure that all piping designs and installations adhere to relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Conduct inspections and quality assurance checks to verify compliance with specifications.
Material Selection:
- Select appropriate materials for piping systems based on environmental conditions, corrosion resistance, and mechanical properties.
- Review and approve material requisitions and vendor submittals.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
- Identify and resolve issues related to piping systems during construction and operational phases.
- Provide technical support for maintenance and repair activities.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including design calculations, drawings, and reports.
- Provide regular progress reports and updates to project managers and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in piping engineering within EPC and oil and gas projects.
- Proficiency in piping design and analysis software.
- Strong understanding of piping codes, standards, and regulations.
- Experience with material selection and corrosion protection strategies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
