Senior Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced British Senior Project Manager to lead our oil and gas projects and ensure successful delivery in line with client expectations and industry standards. He will oversee all aspects of oil and gas projects in the UAE, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. With 15 to 20 years of experience, the ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of project management in the oil and gas industry and a proven track record of managing large-scale projects. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Project Planning and Execution: 

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation. 
  • Lead project execution, coordinating with engineering, procurement, construction, and other teams to meet project objectives. 
  • Ensure project milestones are achieved and manage project changes effectively. 

Team Leadership and Management: 

  • Lead and mentor project teams, including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring a high-performance environment. 
  • Conduct team performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. 
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, safety, and excellence. 

Client and Stakeholder Management: 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, contractors, and suppliers. 
  • Facilitate meetings and communication with stakeholders to address concerns and resolve issues. 

Budget and Financial Management: 

  • Develop and oversee project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial performance. 
  • Monitor expenditures and implement cost-saving measures as needed. 
  • Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and budget updates to senior management. 

Risk Management: 

  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks, developing and implementing mitigation strategies. 
  • Monitor and address risks throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Ensure that risk management plans and contingency measures are in place and effective. 

Quality and Compliance: 

  • Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Implement and oversee quality control procedures and compliance measures. 
  • Conduct inspections and audits to verify adherence to project standards and regulations. 

Reporting and Documentation: 

  • Maintain thorough project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and project plans. 
  • Provide regular updates and status reports to senior management and stakeholders. 
  • Ensure accurate documentation of project changes, issues, and resolutions. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related field) or a related discipline. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred. 
  • 15 to 20 years of experience in project management within the oil and gas industry. 
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, complex oil and gas projects in the UAE. 
  • Professional Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable. 
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices. 
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to manage multiple priorities. 
  • Familiarity with UAE regulations and industry standards. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience working with ADNOC or other major UAE-based clients. 
  • Knowledge of local regulatory and environmental requirements.
